I practice Christianity, and that "poof" appearance set-up even offends me. I can slightly understand what they were trying to accomplish with emulating a rebuttal for God. But, I guess I just feel that if they really believed in God with the certain faith they may profess, they would not try to use tricks and manipulation to defend him. I don't think God needs defending - period. Believing in God is a concscious PERSONAL decision. If a person decides to dye his hair purple, that's a personal decision, and it would be off-putting to convince everyone else to have purple hair too. I think that people like the person who left that note on God's behalf would do better to live their beliefs (love, non-condemning compassion and charity)than to doggedly try and convince other people of it. There will always be things we do not understand and can not explain (crimes against the innocent, natural disasters, etc.). But, to keep on believing in, hoping for, and working to create good things is the essence of faith. If there really was an indisputable explanation to everything, the term "faith" would have no meaning - we'd simply call it "proof".
