crazy

Remember that great NFL playoff commercial where Don Cheadle repeated the word “crazy” until it reached poetic and lyrical proportions, stirring the soul to soar to such great heights?

I keep thinking of it during every game of the Warriors/Mavericks first round playoff series.

Warriors beat the Mavs in Game 1.

Crazy.

Baron Davis and Steven Jackson get ejected in Game 2.

Crazy.

Baron Davis lauching a mid-court shot going into half to tie the game and cap a furious comeback and making making it.

Crazy.

Steven Jackson throwing up a circus three pointer, falling sideways, underneath his defender’s armpit.

Crazy.

Warriors trail by 21, rally back for a 9 point lead and Ghost Nowitzki finally reppears to spark the Mavs on a 15-0 run, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

Crazy.

I never thought I’d say this but the Mavs-Warriors series proves that basketball can be entertaining without a nutkicker (though as we know, Mavs coach Avery Johnson loves the Rochambeau Rule, even on his own players).

Crazy.

There is still one and possibly two more games to experience the craziness.  I assure you the rest of the playoffs will pale in comparison.
