Since I quite smoking, I’ve been a running freak. Last year, I was running about 6-9 miles a week and more recently ran my first 10k in about fifty minutes. I’ve wondered what to attribute this vastly increased cardiovascular function since my lungs should still in repair mode.

Today, my question was finally answered. According to LiveScience.com’s top 10 bad things that are good for you:

…new research has suggested that moderate beer intake can actually improve cardiovascular function. Now if only a scientist will discover the health benefits of ballpark franks and chicken wings. Heaven.

Now, if I can only figure out anger, the list’s next bad thing that’s good for you, I’ll have it made.

While we’re on this little health kick, according to Quitmeter.com’s calculations, since quitting December 24, 2004, I’ve not smoked 8100 yummy cigarettes and saved a whopping $1,822.50.  What about you?

Why then, Johnny, do you ask me not to get so angry with you?
