I’ve been meaning to post this hilarious compendium from Neil LaBute’s The Wicker Man, a movie that I (and many others) sorely underestimated. I mean, any movie with Nic Cage dressed in a bear suit punching out random people is obviously genius, albeit misunderstood genius, but genius nonetheless. And considering my history with Nic Cage, I just love seeing his Oscar winning acting technique unleashed at its full capacity. Props go out to Joey Jersusalem who sent the link in.
And am only one totally confused by Millenium Films and NuImage? After years of churning out straight to video and cable crap like Spider, Spider 2, Octopus, Octopus 2, Terminator Woman, Cyborg Cop 1-3, they seem to have made a bid toward respectibility with crap movies with stars like Wicker Man and Edison and then even some interesting fare like Black Dahlia and the underrated 16 Blocks. Their “lot” is near my office and I’ve seen Dolph Lundgren “drive-on” on more than one occassion.
