Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were at FedEx field on Monday night to chill with Cruise’s new sugardaddy Dan Snyder to watch his Redskins lose to the Vikings in the early game of the MNF doubleheader. I wonder if they took Cruise’s older son to Six Flags in Baltimore earlier in the day…
Jamie Foxx was at FedEx too, I believe at Tom’s behest, and he was gracious enough to stop by the broadcast booth and jaw with Tony Kornheiser, get ribbed by Mike Tirico (because Tirico was in Jerry McGuire and Foxx was not) and rib Joe Theismann. They kept asking Foxx why Cruise couldn’t (or wouldn’t) stop by.
I have the answer -
Cruise couldn’t stop by the broadcast booth because, I am happy to report, he and Snyder were in hot discussions on getting going on their new project - none other than Days of Thunder II: Indianapolis Nights. I have the picture to prove that my wildest dreams have come true:

Yes. It’s true. I work cheap. But I’m hoping that Clinton Portis will give me comedic inspiration for the new comedy I’m writing.
Anyway, I have my first few lines written already. It’s a flashback:
Harry Hogge: Cole, you’re wandering all over the track!
Cole Trickle: Yeah, well this son of a bitch just slammed into me.
Harry Hogge: No, no, he didn’t slam you, he didn’t bump you, he didn’t nudge you… he rubbed you. And rubbin, son, is racin’.
