Nerd Alert: This post is about Fantasy Football.

So both of my fantasy football teams are drafted and the rosters are set for kickoff weekend which officially starts tomorrow.

In the Fools League, run by CBS Sportsline which drains the productivity of 9 lawyers in New York City and me, my team - Al Davis Nut Sack - had the dreaded 4th pick and ended up with the following players (not present at draft. the team was drafted for me off a mock draft list):

Matt Hasselbeck, QB
Kurt Warner, QB

Tiki Barber, RB
Travis Henry, RB
Josephy Addai, RB
Dominic Rhodes, RB
Jamal Lewis, RB

Lee Evans, WR
Marvin Harrison, WR
Steve Smith, WR
Doug Gabriel, WR
Keyshawn Johnson, WR

Alge Crumpler, TE
Kellen Winslow, TE

David Akers, K

Redskins, Defense

For Down with Pants! Blogger league, run by Yahoo! which will deplete the productivity of 11 bloggers worldwide and me, my team - cleverly named johnnyhongkong - consists of (I had the 10th pick in a computerized draft):

Kurt Warner, QB
Mark Brunell, QB

Chad Johnson, WR
Santana Moss, WR
Issac Bruce, WR
Deion Branch, WR

Ronnie Brown, RB
Chester Taylor, RB
Reggie Bush, RB

Tony Gonzales, TE
Jermaine Wiggins, TE

Jeff Wilkins, K
Jeff Reed, K

Philadelphia, Defense
New York, Defense

I’m not sure which team I’m more sanguine about.  Both teams have the Kurt Warner, who some are convinced was the first ever football playing robot whose motherboard got fried after getting sacked one too many times.  Nice.

I like the receiver depth on Al Davis but its a running back’s league.  Not that those RB’s are shabby, I just wish I didn’t end up handcuffing the iffy running game in Indianapolis.

I’m not quite sure what to make of Team JHK.  It’s a new league with a different scoring system and what’s up with drafting two kickers and two defenses?
