We’re off to the farm for a week’s vacation. Boing Boing tells us that there is a swarm of mayflies near the farm that is so thick that it showed up on radar as a storm.
What’s a mayfly? When I timidly asked Mary Milan, she said, “Ick, they’re gross. I hope they don’t come near us.” Click on this link, they look gross.
Whatever for them. Hopefully, they won’t be dive bombing our root beer floats or swarming our deep fried cheese curds at Wagner’s.
If there is still a Los Angeles to come back to, we’ll be back next week with stories about mayflies and whiling away afternoons in pastoral bliss.
