I should say Blue Mandarin’s got himself a blog.  In addition to beseeching you to go see Fixed at the Silverlake Film Festival in his first post (why start a blog if not self-promoting, no?), he also tackles ”happiness” by comparing his recent success to a cousin just recently wrote a book on “how to be happy”:

…but does he have a film playing at THE SILVER LAKE FILM FESTIVAL? Did his film already play at the historical Egyptian Theatre as a special screening?

But who’s comparing cousins. Really, we’re all one big happy family. I promised you happiness; my cousin gives happiness away by the bushels.

So there, read, learn and be happy. Life is simple. I’ll make it so.

And for unhappiness, take struggling independent producing career, late 20’s (really, I’m 34), intimacy issues (imagine sexually precocious early and late bloomer all wrapped up in one big ent. Industry/let-do-drinks bullshit life of shallowness and casual cheap sex with dissastisfied women just waiting to drop me and sleep w/ all those uglier, more powerful fat cats w/ better drugs, fatter asses and smaller dicks) plus I had a really bad hip, neck and limp in the day. So there, he knows happiness; I was unhappy. You decide what’s better.

Keeping checking his blog for future posts as he promises to tackle such happy topics as the coming collapse of California through drought, riot, quake, tsunami, etc; the looming terrorist threat in Europe, and soccer.  What the hell do you expect from a man who made a movie about castration?
